Due to Eid-ul-Azha, one of the biggest Muslim religious holidays, export-import activity between Bangladesh and India through the Hili land port would be halted for six days.
The information was confirmed on Tuesday, June 27, by Jamil Hossain Chalant, general secretary of the Hili land port C&F agents association.
He stated that due to the Eid vacations, all commercial activity would be suspended from June 27 to July 1.Trade activity at the land port would start up again on July 2, he said.
In the meanwhile, despite the suspension of
export import activity between the two nations, cross-border travel would still be permitted from 9 am to 6 pm through the immigration check-post of the land port, according to Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hili Immigration Check-post Sheikh Ashraful.
