In November of last year, Canadian apparel imports had annual increase of 19.85% but a fall of nearly 16% from the October month. According to
Import Export Data, Canadian consumers imported clothing worth US $ 1 billion in the eleventh month of 2022, whereas imports of US $ 1.19 billion were made in October of that same year.
Because of the enormous consumer demand for clothing in the first half of 2022, Canada's imports overall remained at an all-time high of US $ 11.57 billion over the first 11 months of 2022.
In the period between January and November of this year, all major Asian textile manufacturing locations observed a significant growth in their apparel shipments to the North American nation.
With shipments of US $ 3.51 billion and a growth of 22.81% year over year, China continued to be the top supplier of clothing to the Canadian market.

Export Import Data, Vietnam, on the other hand, slightly outperformed Bangladesh over the period of January through November of this year, with US $ 1.63 billion worth of garment exports to Canada.
However, India did well in the Canadian market as seen by its garment exports, which totalled US$388.42 million and increased by 49% year over year.
